Little & BigD Are Working Away In The Garden Today

We Are So Pleased With The Outcome Of This Year's Garden!
Hi, Everybody,
If family is the best thing, we all got a huge thanks for BigD's !
Big D's Family were there again on Tuesday, in full force with the Friends, harvesting and preparing Shki Gtigan Bimaadziwin for its long winter sleep.
Buckets and boxes of carrots, onions, tomatoes, beets, and even green beans were taken from the Garden and delivered to Wendat and to a local shelter for women.
Freezers and pantries are now well stocked to provide nutritious healthy meals for many people well into the winter months. At this Thanksgiving Season, we are all deeply thankful for our bountiful harvest !
The Friends are delighted with all that was cultivated in the Garden this summer, from the organically grown veggies to the wonderful new relationshps that were born and nurtured, and the many ideas that were exchanged.
Thank you to Community Link North Simcoe and to the Simcoe County Nutrition Task Group for all of your support and guidance.
Thank you to our sponsors, Georgian Bay Golf Club Superintendents Association, Earth Power Tractor and Equipment, Foodland, Wasaga Beach, McGill Evironmental Resources, as well as to private donors whose kind generosity has enabled us to continnue our work.
Thank you to the clients and the staff of Wendat who made the work at the Garden so satisfying and whose interest and enthusiasm inspired so much that was achieved there.
The Friends all look forward to seeing you in the winter for the planning of next year's Garden.
